When we began wedding planning, we knew photography will be one of the most important investments we'd make. We wanted someone that would capture our day in a way that would bring us back to relive the day each time we looked through the photos. Ashlyn did just that! From our first call through our wedding day, her energy was absolutely amazing! She brings enthusiasm, energy, calmness, peace, and just about everything you want in a wedding photographer! We can't say any more good things about Ashlyn, book with her and you know you'll be in good hands. She is just an incredible person and helped made our day so special. When our original location choice was unavailable on the day of our wedding, Ashlyn provided the MOST thorough list of alternatives with sample galleries for each location. We're so incredibly grateful for all the planning and effort she put into our day. Her attention to detail is so impressive! We took our wedding photos at the University of Chicago and the whole quad was under construction. She was able to find amazing locations anyway! We aren't big picture people but she made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. We got back hundreds of photos with a few days of the wedding, which was great because we were so excited to see how everything turned out! The full gallery was available so quick too, perfect treat as we got back from our honeymoon. We aren't local to Chicago so our only regret was not booking an engagement session with her as well.

“There aren’t enough words to say how amazing Ashlyn was as our lead photographer for our wedding. I’ve known Ashlyn for many years now, and have only been impressed with her work not just now, but even at the beginning. Ashlyn traveled all the way to Hot Springs, Arkansas, shot our wedding in 90 degree heat, only had 10 (!!) minutes to take our bride + groom shots, and didn’t even seem fazed. We found out during our engagement that my mom's cancer had returned, and it was aggressive. She fought, we prayed, and unfortunately, God had plans to take her. When we found out on 5/12 that her treatment had failed and she had days to live, my husband and I decided to get married in her living room on 5/14, Mother's Day. I took a chance and DM'd Ashlyn to ask her if there was any way she could be available, and without hesitation she said she would be there. I told her we would only need an hour, but she was in no rush to leave and stayed until everything was captured. This wedding was the most beautiful wedding of my life, because that day, everything that mattered mattered, and everything that didn't didn't. Ashlyn captured a first look with my mom, she captured me wearing my mom's ring, getting ready in my mom's vanity, putting on my mom's perfume. She captured stunning photos of our living room wedding, of my husband and me outside my mom's home. She treated our living room wedding like it was a black tie wedding she was being paid tens of thousands for. She sent me a photo that same night of my mom and I, and the next day sent me 40 more that my mom and I were able to look through together. My mom passed away in the early morning of 5/19, and while my heart was and will forever be shattered, the photos I have from that imperfectly perfect Mother's Day, our wedding day, will be cherished forever. Thank you Ashlyn. I love you. You are talented beyond belief and you have changed my life with these photos. And to anyone considering hiring Ashlyn, please take my word for this: Photography is priceless. Time goes so fast, and during our most important moments, it goes even faster. I could not recommend a wedding photographer more. I was initially drawn to Ashlyn’s photography style but after our first meeting, it became more about her personality and professionalism that made us choose her for our big day. She is extremely comforting, informative, gives great direction, and she stays calm on a day that can feel overwhelming. From the moment we met Ashlyn in person for our engagement photos, we knew she was someone we loved working with. She has a way of making you so comfortable that you forget you are being photographed, thus making sure that she captures real moments and interactions. When we wanted to do some photos in the Art Institute but were short on time, she effortlessly navigated us through crowds to make sure we got the photos we wanted. She also knew that photos with our dog were a top priority for us and helped us make a plan for him to meet us in the gardens. These are now some of our most treasured images from the day. We know we will continue to work with her for other big life events in the future.

Ashlyn photographed our August wedding. We could not be more ecstatic with the entire experience and the results. Her photos are stunning! Ashlyn shot both our engagement photos and our wedding this year, and I could not be happier with her work.
